For any barbeque, this is a "sure hit" -- this is a great ketchup to make gourmet hot dogs or hamburgers.
No special equipment is needed to make this gourmet Ketchup.
2 -- 6 ounce cans of Tomato Paste
½ cup White Vinegar
4 tablespoons of Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon aged Balsamic Vinegar
1 teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
Cayenne Pepper, to taste
White Pepper, to taste
2 ½ cups Water
Put everything in a pot and simmer over low heat for 2 hours, or until it reaches ketchup consistency. Once it bubbles, cover the pot. Stir frequently to avoid sticking. Once the mixture reaches the consistency of ketchup, remove from heat and let cool. Once the mixture cools, place in canning jars and refrigerate. This will last for several months.
This is a terrific ketchup for the "Hot Dogs...Best Ones Ever!" recipe.
