A favorite that's a great addition to a Memorial Day or July 4th Barbeque…or any family gathering!
A large crock pot or slow cooker will be needed for this recipe.
1 pound of dried, small White Beans, rinsed and soaked
4 ½ cups Water
¼ cup Molasses
2 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
1 large Red Onion, chopped
¼ pound Salt Pork, cubed
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 tablespoon Garlic/Chili Spicy Sauce
2 teaspoons fresh Ginger
2 cloves Garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon Soy Sauce (dark)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ to ½ cup of your favorite BBQ Sauce
Boil the dried, small White Beans for 15 minutes, then pull them off of the heat, and soak them in that water overnight. On the next day, cube the Salt Pork in 1/4 inch cubes. Rinse the beans in a colander, and then put them into the slow-cooker along with all of the other ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 12 to 14 hours until the beans are tender.
