These are by far the best hot dogs ever!
No special equipment is needed to make this classic July 4th Hot Dog.
8 Hot Dogs (very good quality hot dogs are recommended)
1 pound thick Bacon
8 Hot Dog Buns
Serving Suggestions:
Ketchup (see our separate recipe on this website for Ketchup)
Mustard-Mayonnaise Sauce (see our separate recipe on this website for Mustard-Mayonnaise Sauce)
Sauerkraut (see our separate recipe on this website for Sauerkraut)
1 Fresh White Onion, chopped
Tomatoes, freshly chopped
Wrap each hot dog with a piece of bacon. Either bake in the oven at about 350 degrees for about 45 minutes to an hour, or cook on a barbeque. Once the bacon is crisp, toast the buns quickly and then place a hot dog in each bun, add some home-made Ketchup, Mustard/Mayonnaise Sauce, Sauerkraut, chopped Onion, and freshly chopped Tomatoes. Serve hot and enjoy!
