This is a wonderful Crème Fraiche recipe -- one of my favorites for a dessert…
No special equipment is needed to make this wonderful dessert sauce.
1 ¼ cups Heavy Cream
2 tablespoons Buttermilk
2 tablespoons Lemon Curd (Please see our separate recipe for Lemon Curd.)
*Please note that this recipe requires 6-9 hours of standing at room temperature to complete it.
Combine the cream and buttermilk in a screw top jar and cover tightly, shake for about 1 minute, and leave stand at room temperature for 6 to 9 hours until the mixture thickens. Whisk in the lemon curd, and refrigerate to chill before serving.
As a serving suggestion, this is a great addition to our Fruit Salad recipe.
