This is my favorite Jamaican Jerk Sauce, which reminds me of our trip to Negril, Jamaica where I had the privilege of working with a wonderful Jamaican executive chef to learn about Jamaican cuisine.
No special culinary equipment is needed to prepare this wonderful Jamaican Jerk Sauce.
1 cup of Jamaican Jerk Seasoning/Marinade (to access the recipe to make your own, click here)
¼ cup of Pineapple Juice
1 tablespoon of Ketchup
1 teaspoon of Mustard
¼ cup of Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar
In a saucepan, place all of the ingredients and heat them to a simmer. Lower the heat and let them reduce for about 20-30 minutes.
Serve this Jamaican Jerk Sauce as a sauce on Jamaican Jerk Chicken, pork or beef. For the recipe to make the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, click here. As another alternative, grill the chicken (following our Jamaican Jerk Chicken recipe linked above), let the chicken cool, cut the chicken off the bone, and then chop the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Add some of the Jamaican Jerk Sauce to the Jamaican Jerk Chicken and serve them as part of a delicious salad recipe, which you can access here.
