This compound butter is easy to make and it can be added to steamed vegetables, potatoes, or one of our favorites is to add it to Filet Mignon wrapped in Bacon.
No special culinary equipment is needed to prepare this compound butter.
1 stick of Butter at room temperature
3 tablespoons of small Blue Cheese Crumbles
½ teaspoon of Black Pepper, freshly ground
2 cloves of fresh Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of Chives, finely chopped
In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients. Once fully integrated, place the butter mixture on a piece of plastic wrap, and create a cylinder/roll. Place the cylinder in the refrigerator. It is best to make this recipe the night before using it, but as long as it sits in the refrigerator until it becomes firm, (usually at least 2-3 hours), it is ready to use.
Serving Suggestion:
Slice the compound butter and place the slice on the top of anything from steamed vegetables such as asparagus or broccoli, or on Filet Mignon wrapped in Bacon (which recipe you can access by clicking this recipe title). Enjoy!
